The Sorrell College of Business has launched The Double Dome, a podcast aimed at conversations about business and the economy.
Hosted by Sorrell Dean Dr. Judson Edwards, the monthly podcasts will feature Edwards and a guest podcaster. It’s produced in cooperation with Troy Public Radio.

“This was really a way for us to expand our reach to students and connect them – and the listening public – with today’s business leaders,” Edwards said. “It’s our goal to bring you interesting conversation about the business world and the community in general.”
The podcast is a part of a larger overall initiative within the college aimed at creating GEEKS – Sorrell College graduates who are Globally aware, Engaged in the business community, Ethical decision makers, Knowledgeable to compete and, ultimately, Successful. The podcasts name itself is a reflection of that. A “double dome” is a geek or intellectual, according to Webster’s Dictionary.
“If you become a GEEK at Troy University, we know we’re doing our job. I hope our Double Dome listeners will listen and engage their ‘geeky’ curiosity and have a good time,” Edwards said.
Double Dome’s first installment, released on Feb. 22, features Troy Bank and Trust President Jeff Kervin, a Sorrell College alumnus. It can be found on the web at https://doubledome.podbean.com.
