An international food tasting, music, games and a photo booth will highlight Troy University Homecoming activities on Tuesday at the Montgomery Campus.

The event will take place around the clock tower on Curry Commons from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and will also feature a torch run. TROY’s 2016 Homecoming theme is “The Trojan Games: A Beacon to the World,” reflecting both on the international spirit demonstrated by the Summer Olympics and the 50th anniversary of Greek life at the University. Similar torch lightings and runs are taking place at TROY’s Dothan and Phenix City campuses in advance of Homecoming.

In Montgomery, participants can try a variety of international foods, featuring samples from local restaurants such as Savannah Café, D’Road Café, NYC Gyro, Sa Za, Lek’s and more. Homecoming game tickets will be available for purchase and the Montgomery Metro Alumni Chapter and the Student Alumni Association will be represented.

Homecoming Week officially starts at the Troy Campus on Oct. 10, and the Homecoming game will be Oct. 15 against Georgia State. Kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Stadium.

The public is invited to take part in Tuesday’s festivities. For additional information, contact Amy Waters, director of community outreach, at 334-241-9502.
