Hydrographic Society of America awards scholarships to two TROY students

Troy University students Cameron Morris of Chatom, Alabama, and Phillip “Scott” Dowdy of Hokes Bluff, Alabama, were awarded scholarships from the Hydrographic Society of America (THSOA).

Morris and Dowdy are seniors in TROY’s Surveying and Geomatics Program in the Geospatial Informatics Department in the College of Arts and Sciences.

THSOA scholarships are awarded to full time students seeking degrees in hydrographic surveying, ocean mapping, geomatics, ocean sciences, geographic information system (GIS), ocean engineering or electrical engineering.

Morris and Dowdy each received a scholarship of $1,000 by the Southeast Chapter of THSOA.
