A familiar face to many in Troy and the Troy Campus can now be found in the Sorrell College of Business’ IDEA Bank at Troy University.
Mauree Alice Porter, set to graduate on May 12 with a Bachelor of Science in Communication Arts, has been named Program Coordinator at the IDEA Bank.

“Mauree Alice will be responsible for the daily operations of the IDEA Bank, event planning, student engagement and program development,” said IDEA Bank Director Lynne George. “Her investment in Troy University and the local Troy community is going to help us dramatically grow the program.”
Last year’s Homecoming Queen and a Miss Trojan Spirit, Porter joins the IDEA Bank staff from the City of Troy, where she has been assistant director of community engagement and special projects.
“Her experience with the City of Troy working with small business owners and executing programs that support them will greatly enhance our work at the IDEA Bank,” George said. “She has a clear appreciation for local business and community collaboration.”
While at TROY, Porter has served as president of Kappa Delta Sorority, director of city relations with the Student Government Association, and served as an IMPACT leader. She has been recognized for Outstanding Campus Leadership and is a member of The 87. She minored in Leadership Development.
