TROY offers a number of scholarships for working adults who want to pursue a graduate degree.

Earning a graduate degree can be a step towards promotion or a new position, and Troy University offers a number of scholarship opportunities that can make this step a bit easier for qualified applicants.

The three general scholarships offered by the University are the Graduate Scholarship, the Horizon Scholarship and the Corporate Achiever Scholarship.

The Graduate Scholarship is designed to encourage students from outside of Alabama to pursue graduate work at TROY’s Alabama campuses. It reduces tuition to the in-state rate for out-of-state students who are unconditionally admitted to a graduate program. The Horizon Scholarship offers an incentive to adult students returning to college. The scholarship will pay for one three-hour class in the final term at the University for students who are enrolled in TROY Online or at the Montgomery, Dothan or Phenix City Campuses. Finally, the Corporate Achiever Scholarship will also pay for a three-hour class in the final term for students enrolled through one of TROY’s corporate partnerships.

In addition to these general scholarships, the Troy University Foundation offers a number of scholarship opportunities for graduate students funded by private donations. These vary in amount and in their requirements. To view available opportunities, visit the scholarship portal and search “graduate.”

“Attaining a graduate degree is a significant milestone that can open up new career opportunities for working adults,” said Buddy Starling, Associate Vice Chancellor for Enrollment Management. “I hope all prospective students will take time to investigate the scholarship opportunities available to graduate students, and our admissions counselors are happy to assist and answer questions.”

Other scholarship opportunities include scholarships for international students; the Military and Family Scholarship, which is open to currently serving members of the military, the National Guard, the Reserves and their spouses and college age dependents; and Online Learner Scholarships.
