Troy University’s Social Work Program has been ranked as the best in Alabama, and among the top 50 nationally.
Social-Work-Colleges.com selected TROY as the top-ranked Alabama institution, the 14th best in South and 49th nationally against 1,589 schools offering social work programs.
The website serves as a resource to social work students that compares competing colleges on a number of factors including program offerings, rankings and campus safety.
“This is not a small feat considering we are competing with all institutions and some very prestigious schools that have been around for many years,” said Dr. Denise Green, who heads TROY’s social work program and is interim dean of the College of Health and Human Services.
TROY offers both undergraduate and graduate social work programs, with the Master of Social Work Program recently completing a rigorous accreditation process.
