Around 400 families experienced what college life at Troy University could look like during the biannual Fall Trojan Day held the last weekend of September.

The day began with a browse session at Trojan Arena followed by an in-depth admissionsscholarship and housing presentation. After the presentation, students and their families had lunch with a panel of TROY students and faculty, and the day wrapped up with a tour of campus.

“Trojan Day was a tremendous success, welcoming hundreds of families and prospective students to experience the true spirit of our campus,” said Korrie Lynn Williamson, Senior Director of Enrollment Services. “I am deeply grateful to our incredible student organizations and departments—their dedication played such a vital role in making this day unforgettable. We always say that our students are more than just a number, and events like this truly demonstrate the heart and community that set us apart.”

Railey Turner, senior from Seminole county, Georgia, attended with her friend, Brooklyn Bryan, and both wanted to learn more about TROY.

“I was here last Saturday and liked the atmosphere, so I wanted to come to Trojan Day and find out more,” she said. “I like how much TROY has to offer, I’m definitely considering TROY.”

Bryan, also a senior from Seminole County, added, “It’s been great! It’s sort of local to us, and I already know a lot of people that attend TROY. The campus is very pretty and there are a lot of opportunities here.”

Kerry Strickland, Coordinator of Campus Experiences, said Trojan Day is the perfect opportunity for visiting families to see everything that TROY has to offer.

“This occasion provides prospective students with the opportunity to discover everything TROY has to offer,” she said. “Families learned about scholarships, housing, organizations, and student life during their campus visit. Our goal is to help each student envision themselves as part of the TROY family!”

Vernika Eubanks from Montgomery, Ala., accompanied her daughter, a high school junior, on her first college visit. Eubanks has an older daughter already enrolled at TROY in the dance program.

“Trojan Day was very interesting, there has been a lot of information for the students, especially those like my daughter who are still undecided,” she said. “Everyone knows what they’re talking about.”

Trojan Day is held twice a year during the fall and spring, and the spring event date will be announced at a later time.
