Troy University’s Department of Theatre and Dance presents ‘Shine On: Dancing with Pink Floyd’ April 6-9 at the Trojan Center Theater.
The show, which features TROY dancers and guest artists, takes audiences on a hero’s journey set to the music of Pink Floyd.
“This show not only features the talent and skill audiences have come to expect from our wonderful students, it also features guest performers and a stellar display of lighting and projections inspired by the live shows of the band Pink Floyd,” said Tori Lee Averett, chair of the TROY Department of Theatre and Dance. “An added bonus: Troy University alumni Adrienne Hicks (principal dancer) and Jeremy Hodges (lighting and projections designer) light up the stage this weekend.”
Showtimes are at 7 p.m. Aril 6-8 and 2:30 p.m. April 9. Tickets are $10 for reserved seating or $5 with a TROY student identification, and they can be purchased at www.troytheatre.org or at the Trojan Center Box Office.
“Anyone who loves Pink Floyd, enjoys live dance, collects vintage vinyl or is just looking for something funky and interesting to do for the weekend will enjoy this original production,” Averett said.
