The Troy University Department of Theatre and Dance will perform the iconic Tennessee Williams play “The Glass Menagerie” at the Trojan Center Theatre from Feb. 23-26.
Directed by Adena Moree, “The Glass Menagerie” focuses on a family in 1937 St. Louis as they struggle with the past and an uncertain future.
“No play in the modern theatre has so captured the imagination and heart of the American public as Tennessee Williams’ ‘The Glass Menagerie,’” said Tori Lee Averett, chair of the department.
Since its premiere in 1944, “The Glass Menagerie” has been studied and performed in classrooms and theaters around the world.
Showtimes are at 7 p.m. Feb. 23-25 and at 2:30 p.m. Feb. 26.
Tickets are $5 for those with a student ID and $10 for general admission, and can be purchased at the Trojan Center Box Office or online at www.troytheatre.org.
