Employers from various industry will be looking for new employees during the annual career fair at Troy University’s Dothan Campus on Wednesday, Feb. 13.

The fair takes place from 9 a.m. to noon in the Harrison Room in Malone Hall.

More than 15 vendors will be on site for the event, which is aimed at TROY students, upcoming graduates and alumni but is open to the public.

“Employers are making increasing use of career fairs to attract and screen candidates,” said Sandra Hatfield-Sauls, Director for Student Success at the Dothan Campus. “They offer an opportunity for a superficial contact with many candidates and the chance to select a few for intensive follow-ups. And as a student, career fairs are an important method of making an in-person contact with organizations already of interest to you and of applying to other companies you may discover at the fair.”

Participants are advised to dress professionally and have resumes ready to hand out.

Vendors participating include: State of Alabama Department of Human Resources; Columbus, Georgia, Police Department; Waffle House; Alta Pointe; Pilgrim’s; Army Aviation Center Federal Credit Union; Kelly Educational Staffing; Enterprise Career Center; Gresco; Alabama Department of Corrections; Southeast Health (formerly SAMC); City of Dothan; U.S. Army Recruits; Exchange Center; Wiregrass Radio; and Troy University Career Services.
