Troy University has been named among the best colleges and universities in the southern United States by The Princeton Review for the 22nd straight year.

TROY was one of only 109 colleges and universities to receive the designation in the 10-state southern region. In all, The Princeton Review recognized 630 colleges and universities in seven zones – Mid-Atlantic, Midwest, Northeast, South, Southwest, West and International in its Best Colleges for 2027 rankings.

“We are grateful that, for more than two decades, Troy University has been recognized as being among the best universities in the South by The Princeton Review,” said Dr. Jack Hawkins, Jr., Chancellor. “There is a culture of caring that exists at TROY, and we see that demonstrated daily by our dedicated faculty and staff. I believe those values truly resonate with our students.”

A leading tutoring, test preparation and college admissions services company, The Princeton Review has been listing colleges and universities annually in various categories for 35 years.

TROY’s inclusion is the result of a survey that asks students to rate their schools in several areas and report on their experiences. Areas included: academics/administration, campus life, fellow students and their own experiences. Surveys are conducted on campus and via The Princeton Review website, at which students have the option of completing a secure survey online.

The recognition from The Princeton Review is just the latest accolade the University has received. Earlier this year, Niche.com ranked TROY as one of the top 33 online colleges in America and one of the country’s top public universities. Niche also ranked TROY 3rd among public universities in the country who offer online graphic design degrees. U.S. News and World Report ranked several of TROY’s online programs among the best in the country, including business, criminal justice, education and nursing.
