Troy University’s Confucius Institute to offer Chinese language classes in Montgomery

The Confucius Institute at Troy University will offer Chinese language classes for adults and children beginning in September at the University’s Montgomery Campus.

The following adult classes will be offered:

  • Elementary Chinese Level I — Tuesdays, Sept. 6 – Nov. 15, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Room 117, Rosa Parks Museum.
  • Elementary Chinese Level II — Wednesdays, Sept. 7 – Nov. 16, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Room 117, Rosa Parks Museum.
  • Business Chinese Level I — Thursdays, Sept. 8 – Nov. 17, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., Room 118, Rosa Parks Museum.

A Chinese Language Class for Children will be held on Saturdays, Sept. 10 – Nov. 19, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., in rooms 114-120 of Bartlett Hall.

The fee for all language classes is $50, which does not include the textbook. In addition, a free Tai Chi class will be offered from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Thursdays from Sept. 8 – Nov. 17. The classes will take place in rooms 141-142 of Whitley Hall at Troy University Montgomery.
