The ATO Walk Hard team began their hike to Panama City Beach Friday morning at the Troy Campus.

A journey of 130 miles started with the first steps this morning at the Troy Campus.

More than 30 members of Troy University’s Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity set off Friday on a six-day hike to Panama City Beach for the organization’s annual “Walk Hard” fundraiser, which supports wounded military veterans.

The team left the Troy Campus with a crowd of supporters on hand to wish them well, including Chancellor Dr. Jack Hawkins, Jr.

Take a look at some of the highlights from this morning:

Walk Hard raises money for Jeep Sullivan’s Wounded Warrior Outdoor Adventures, Inc. This year’s goal is $25,000, and contributions can be made via the team’s Go Fund Me page.
