When Troy’s Continental Cinemas closed last year the University Activities Council lost one of their most popular student activities, 2 dollar movie night, but the organization is working to provide viable alternatives.
The first of which is a drive-in movie night where students can stay in their cars and watch a movie in a socially distant environment.
“We don’t have two-dollar movie night anymore because of the movie theater shutting down and we know that was a big event here at Troy University and one of the bigger events that the University Activities Council was known for,” said Malik Moore, President of UAC. “In replacing that we thought it would be something that would be good to bring to the students as an alternative to two-dollar movie night and a way that they could be around other people without being around other people.”
