After losing half their 2020 season due to COVID-19 the Trojan Softball team is ready to get things swinging in 2021.
A squad that finished the cancelled 2020 season with the 17th highest ranked RPI in the country is back in full force and ready to pick up right where they left off.
Troy is returning almost their entire team from the 2020 season after the NCAA added an extra year of eligibility after the pandemic shortened the season.
Players are ready recapture what they missed out on last year.
“I think that we had a really really good season taken away from us,” says returning senior Kynsley Rae Blasingame. “So I think we’re just going to carry that momentum into this season and make a full season out of it. You know we’re going to experience the highs that we did last season and we may experience some lows with a lot of the unknowns and uncertainties but I think that our coaching staff has done a wonderful job preparing us.”
