Troy University Student Government Association swears in new senators.

Troy University’s Student Government Association Senate is now back to full capacity after the vacancy election filled open seats.

The new members took part in their first meeting Tuesday night as they were sworn in and went right to work.

The SGA holds a vacancy election at the start of the fall and spring to fill seats left vacant by students who graduate, resign their position or otherwise have to vacate their seat.

“With more senators, especially new senators this semester it’s really great because we get to pull in a lot of different ideas and new perspectives from all different age groups and all different backgrounds,” says SGA President Nicole Jayjohn. “So, it’s really nice to have that full senate so that we can really take advantage of all those great ideas rolling around in everybody’s heads.”
