Downtown Troy got a blast from the past Saturday morning with the annual “Cruise-in” event taking place on the square.
Car owners from all over brought their classic cars to the show off for visitors to the square making it one of the biggest the city has put on so far.
“Cruise-ins have become one of our most popular events that we do downtown,” says Community Engagement Coordinator for the City of Troy Leigh Anne Windham. “Actually, today we had the most participants ever. We had the most vehicles down here than we’ve ever had before so we’re definitely growing.”
Last year the event was not able to take place due to COVID but Windham says she thinks that’s why the number of participants was so high this year.
“We were not able to do this event and I think that that might be another reason that we do have such a good turnout is because everyone is so excited to be able to come to and participate in events like this,” says Windham.
