The Trojan Soccer team spent this week teaching the sport to some younger players.
The team held the first of two youth camps for children ages 4-13 this week at the Trojan Softball Complex. It had to held on the softball field due to renovations taking place at the Soccer Complex.
The camp not only teaches the fundamentals of soccer but also includes different activities and games for the children related to the sport.
Trojan coaches and players worked directly with the campers, which junior forward Taytum Terrell says makes for a fun experience for everyone involved
“I can just say personally for me, it made me have more energy and just have more discipline,” says Terrell. “Because as you get older it gets more serious but other than that it’s just fun.”
There will be one more youth camp held July 12-16. Registration is open until July 11.
Information on all camps taking place at Troy University can be found here.
