If you had to get across a pond with only cardboard and duct tape at your disposal could you do it? That was the challenge presented to Troy University fraternities and sororities Tuesday afternoon.
At the annual Greek Week Build a Boat competition, teams were given only cardboard, duct tape and their imaginations to build a boat that would float across the lake with two team members inside.
“We let them build a boat and basically put two participants in the boat and basically sail off,” says Greek Week Committee Member Kobe Hampton. “The idea of this event is to cross and if you do make it to the other side then we’ll go off by time but it’s really just you know for fun and games. A lot of people love this event.”
