Order of Omega recognizes TROY’s Greeks

TROY, Ala. (TROJANVISION) — Over the weekend, members of sororities and fraternities gathered to celebrate their accomplishments throughout the year.

After a week filled with friendly competition, Greek Week 2024 came to a close with the annual Order of Omega banquet.

“Order of Omega banquet is an honor society for people who are in Greek life,” said Order of Omega President Anna Grace Holland. “Order of Omega Banquet is just a ceremony that we host every year just to celebrate Greek life at Troy University and all the accomplishments that the Greeks have made.”

Holland says it’s important to honor students for all the work they do throughout the year.

“Greek life does a lot of many things throughout during the year, so just being able to come together and support each other and celebrate each other’s accomplishments we think that is very important.”

A member of Order of Omega told TrojanVision he’s proud to serve all of TROY’s fraternities and sororities through the honor society.

“It’s a great opportunity especially for someone in a fraternity or sorority, so just being able to have something like that attached to your name that is holding a standard for yourself,” said National Pan-Hellenic Council President Qwien Mason.

The Order of Omega banquet is held once a year at the end of Greek Week.
