TROY, Ala. (TROJANVISION) — Students invited their parents and family to Troy University’s Parents & Family Weekend.

Family members got access to a band party, a pre-game tailgate and the football game against James Madison.

“Parents Weekend is an opportunity for parents to come onto campus and be together,” said Meredith Welch, Director of Annual Giving and Special Projects. “See a little bit more about TROY and what we are as a TROY family. Each year we build on the event a little bit and we take things from the past year to make better for the next year.”

This year’s Band Party was held in the Trojan Center Ballrooms Friday night due to the rain. Families listened to the band throughout the night and enjoyed refreshments.

“Three years ago we added the Friday night event to go along with the Saturday tailgate,” Welch explained. “We just look forward to visiting with everyone.”

Next weekend TROY will hold its Fall Trojan Day where high school students get to explore Troy University.
