TROY, Ala. (TROJANVISION) — After a year of planning and construction, GoodTimes Bowling has officially opened.

Monday night, GoodTimes welcomed guests during its grand opening.

For the first time, guests could see the bowling alley/arcade/food venue that offers 16 bowling lanes, an arcade area as well as food and drinks. It also offers a new place for locals to enjoy that doesn’t require leaving Troy’s city limits.

“We saw this place, we wondered what it was and then when we found out what it was,” said Troy resident Ethan Glass. “My wife loves bowling. She’s been bowling ever since she was a little kid, so she was excited, and so was I. She genuinely was just like can we make this our date night?”

Troy student Kierra Montgomery brought a friend with her to the grand opening. She told TrojanVision she was surprised at how much entertainment was offered.

“To be honest, we never had anything like this in Troy. Everybody used to say that Troy used to have a bowling alley, but me and her never experienced that, so it’s nice to have something in Troy to do.”

GoodTimes’ hours of operation are:

• Monday – Thursday: 4 – 10 p.m.
• Friday: 4 – 11 p.m.
• Saturday: noon – 11 p.m.
• Sunday: noon – 10 p.m.
