TROY, Ala. (TROJANVISION) — Quarterback Tucker Kilcrease filled in as the new starting quarterback after former starting quarterback Goose Crowder suffered an injury from the team’s Sun Belt Opener to ULM.
For the past couple of games, quarterback starter Crowder has not been able to play due to an injury, leaving the Trojans in need of a quarterback and, more specifically, Tucker Kilcrease.
“I don’t think there’s really any pressure, not because I have shoes to fill, but because I feel like the team trusts all of us,” Kilcrease said. “Whoever is back behind the center, I feel like everybody believes that they can get it done.”

During his time on the field, Kilcrease has put together career-best performances as quarterback. His performance includes 17 completions, 249 passing yards and two touchdowns in the game against Texas State.
Number 10 on the field made his first career start in a Troy uniform and at the FBS level in the Texas State game. Kilcrease will continue to use the bye-week before the South Alabama game to continue working with his teammates on perfecting their plays.
