UAC hosts Sushi Night to help students take a break from midterms

TROY, Ala. (TROJANVISION) — Wednesday night Troy’s University Activities Council (UAC) hosted Sushi Night in the Trojan center Ballrooms.

During the event students from all levels of experience came together to make sushi. Sushi Night was not only informative, but also a moment where students could relax coming out of their midterms.

“Since it is midterm time, that is always going to be something to do on campus, and I don’t want anybody to feel like they have to be stuck in their dorms during this tough season,” UAC Public Relations Chairwoman Kamyria Anderson said.

Junior Alyssa Williams said her experience helped her relax, have fun with friends and learn something new.

“This event was very fun, and very beneficial, honestly I had a lot of time of getting free sushi, learning how to roll it ourselves, spend time with friends, take a break from midterms and all the stressful stuff in college.”

As students continue making their way to the end of the semester, the UAC hopes many of them can now say they’re on a roll.

UAC’s next event will be pumpkin painting on Wednesday, Oct. 23. UAC meets every Monday in the Trojan Center room 224 and you can also follow them on Instagram @troyuac.
