High school students network during Trojan Patriot Academy

TROY, Ala (TROJANVISION) — Over 100 high school juniors and seniors are getting to meet aspiring leaders from around Alabama.

Over the past week, high school students from across the state have been participating in the second annual Trojan Patriot Academy.

Part of the experience is meant to help students meet people from different backgrounds.

“It helps you get get an idea of not only where they come from but who you are as a person,” said Executive Director of Academic Operations Jeff Scott.

Students spent the rest of their time at the rec center networking and teambuilding.

“We started off with a great dinner and tonight we just want them to relax and get to know each other,” said Scott. “Build those networking skills.”

Next up students will be learning about different leadership styles from Troy faculty and special guests.
