TROY, Ala. (TROJANVISION) — New and returning students got their first look at Troy University’s Divine Nine organizations during the annual A Cold Night Out.
A Pretty Cold Night Out was held by the brothers of Kappa Alpha Psi and Alpha Phi Alpha. The two fraternities share similar values and want new students to connect with one another.
“Basically just both organizations come out, put something on for the new students on campus and just kind of have a good time,” said Kappa Alpha Psi President Xavier Harris. “Come out, music playing, just meet new people, greet, just that type of thing.”
Students enjoyed a variety of songs by artists like Kendrick Lamar and Waka Flocka,” said student Kilaya Hollis. “For some students, A Pretty Cold Night Out out gives them a first look at Troy’s Divine Nine organizations. I’ve enjoyed all of the the atmosphere. All of the D9s and just how they enjoy each other’s company.
“The key takeaways I would feel would be definitely just getting out there, experiencing campus, and seeing what opportunities they have.”
