TROY, Ala. (TROJANVISION) — A campus royal is using her crown to advocate for heart health.
Miss Troy University Anna Grace Tucker, a junior administration business major from Huntsman, Alabama, invited students to donate and “Go Red” for the American Heart Association.
Tucker spoke to students, faculty and staff, and visitors about heart health and how students can improve their own.
Students were also encouraged to donate to the American Heart Association either with cash or through a QR code.
“I hope to educate people about what heart health is and how to keep your body healthy,” Tucker said.

As students walked by, Tucker gave them ideas on what they can do to better their heart health. She recommended that students take up some form of exercise like dancing, walking or even going to the gym.
“It makes me feel great knowing that I am helping thousands of women who struggle with cardiovascular disease,” Tucker said.
Tucker also shared facts about cardiovascular health and warning signs at her booth.
Alexys Fraizer, a Troy student from Tuskegee, Alabama, donated to Go Red. She told TrojanVision she was happy to support a good cause.
“It’s a great feeling, honestly,” Frazier said.
Miss Troy isn’t going red by herself. She’s also bringing her family with her. Her mother, Irene Tucker, was also on hand.
“When people donate today, it’s wonderful,” Irene said. “It’s going to push the platform further and faster so we can have a healthy Alabama and a healthy America.”
The Go Red for Heart Health Movement is in partnership with Miss Alabama, and is a requirement for Miss Alabama participants.
Tucker has a goal of 300 dollars for her fundraising and raised according to her link has raised 101 dollars.
