TROY, Ala. (TROJANVISION) — Contestants from all over Alabama took stage at the Samford University Wright Center to compete for the title of Miss Alabama.
Over three days, from June 3-6, Anna Grace Tucker, the current Miss Troy University, competed in the Miss Alabama Pageant.
Tucker told TrojanVision she was able to make friends along the way.

“I think that’s my favorite part because you really get to bond with the girls, and you get to have fun while learning choreography,” Tucker said.
Not only did Tucker meet new friends at the pageant, she also had community support throughout her journey to the stage.
“I don’t think I would have been that polished on the stage without the support of the community, and that honestly makes you feel good knowing that you have a team and you have a community that’s supporting you during that.”
Although she wasn’t able to bring home a win from the pageant, Tucker says the experience was one she will never forget.
“I had the best time knowing that I was able to be Miss Troy on that stage and to be unapologetically me as Miss Troy,” Tucker said.
Tucker also gave her advice for those looking to compete at Miss Alabama.

“I would tell them to not be afraid to do something because you never know what the outcome is going to be. Either winning of gaining your best friend on the Miss Alabama stage. That’s what I would tell women they are stepping into. They’re going to be stepping into the best time ever and to never look back and to just keep forward with the organization,” Tucker said.
Despite not winning the title Miss Alabama, Miss Troy University was able to receive a scholarship from the competition, and says she is excited to be back with her community in the fall.
For those interested in local pageants, the next Miss Troy Pageant is set to take place October 15, 2026.
