Troy’s head coach Eric Newell was ejected in the bottom of the sixth after arguing with the umpire after a supposed out.

The Trojans only scored two more runs after that, both in the eighth. Preseason play means the teams will play ten innings instead of the regular seven.

Florida State secured the win 11-5. Both teams had 11 hits and two errors each.
