Dr. W. Greg Price, Vice Chancellor Information Technology at Troy University, has once again been recognized among the world’s top technology leaders, earning a place in the Top 10 Technology Professionals globally in the 2026 OnCon Icon Awards. This marks the third consecutive year Dr. Price has achieved Top 10 distinction.

The OnCon Icon Awards are internationally recognized honors that identify the top professionals and executives across multiple disciplines, including technology, information security, data analytics, and operations. The awards are peer-nominated and voted, with the finalists evaluated on demonstrated impact within their organizations, contributions to their professional communities, innovation, and leadership.

Award recipients are selected through a multi-phase process that includes nomination, independent evaluation, and public voting, ensuring that the honorees reflect both industry and broad professional respect. Winners represent “some of the top professionals in the entire world,” according to OnCon.

Dr. Price’s continued recognition reflects his leadership in advancing Troy University’s technology strategy, cybersecurity posture, and enterprise systems. As CTO and Vice Chancellor of Information Technology, he oversees the university’s IT infrastructure, cybersecurity program, and digital transformation initiatives, supporting students, faculty, and staff across Troy’s global campus network.

Under his leadership, Troy University has strengthened its cybersecurity framework, expanded cloud and enterprise services, and enhanced technology governance and compliance efforts. His work also contributed to national recognition for TROY’s cybersecurity program and ongoing innovation in higher education technology.
