Malone Hall at the Dothan Campus will house the annual Teacher's Fair, which puts educators in touch with school systems.

Educators, alumni, substitute teachers or individuals interested in a career in education have the opportunity to take part in the Teacher’s Fair at Troy University’s Dothan Campus on Wednesday, April 3.

The fair lasts from 9 until 11 a.m. and will be held in the Harrison Room of Malone Hall.

“The Teacher’s Fair offers our student interns, those interested in teaching or currently certified teachers looking for a job, and alumni the opportunity to network with many school systems in Alabama, Florida and Georgia,” said Sandra Hatfield-Sauls, Director for Student Success at TROY’s Dothan Campus. “The event allows school administrators to meet and interact with many possible candidates in a short time span and conduct quick interviews with potential candidates.”

So far, 12 school systems and the Alabama Board of Education have signed up for the fair, which offers networking and possible employment opportunities for educators.

“Our annual event has proven successful in previous years as most of those in attendance have found jobs and many of the school systems participate every year,” Hatfield-Sauls said. “We hope this year’s event will help our students, as well as others looking for a stable job in the field of education, to find their dream job.”

School systems may register for the fair by March 27 at the following website: https://troy.joinhandshake.com/career_fairs/9224. An account may need to be created before registration. For more information, contact jkrist@troy.edu or (334) 983-6556, ext.21223.
