Every dollar donated to Troy University is an opportunity to make a difference.
From scholarships for students, to supporting faculty research and academic programs, to ensuring the Trojan athletics teams are at their competitive best, gifts to TROY touch the lives of the entire campus community.
Now, Trojans everywhere have a chance to come together and make a difference on Oct. 4 with the first annual Trojan Giving Day. With the theme “Stand Up and Be a Trojan,” Giving Day is a chance for all alumni, friends and supporters of TROY to make a contribution.
“That’s what TROY Giving Day is all about,” said Rebecca Watson, Associate Vice Chancellor for Development. “It’s one day for the entire TROY community to join as one to make great things happen. Your contribution on Oct. 4 shows the world the collective power of TROY philanthropy!”
The best way to contribute to Giving Day is by going online to https://givingday.troy.edu and making your tax-deductible gift via the secure website. There will also be a tent on the Troy Campus quad for people who would like to make a gift in person. Anyone who makes a pledge at the tent will have the chance to take home a variety of TROY gifts and items. Additionally, the first 300 donors will receive a free Chick-fil-A lunch.
Finally, contributions will be accepted via cash or check at various locations around Veterans Memorial Stadium during that night’s home football game against Georgia State.
In addition to making a gift, Trojans everywhere can support Giving Day by spreading the word on social media using the hashtag #StandUpAndBeATrojan.
“We will collect and share your posts, allowing givingday.troy.edu visitors to view constant updates by the TROY community,” Watson said.
