The Troy University Department of Theatre and Dance presents its first musical theatre performance, “Once On This Island,” at the Janice Hawkins Cultural Arts Park Amphitheater from April 27 through April 30.

This musical retelling of the “Little Mermaid” fairy tale features a Caribbean flavor that each song brings to life. “Once On This Island” explores themes of love, death, race and class through beautiful music, high-energy dance, and the magic of live theatre.

Showtimes are at 7 p.m. each night, and tickets are $5 for reserved seating or $1 for seating on the grass.
