Troy University will soon host its biannual Worldwide Open House for prospective students to learn more about the university and how to become a Trojan.

“It’s our biggest collective effort for recruiting throughout the year,” Autumn Baggett-Griggs, the Director of Enrollment Marketing, said.

The open house will be held April 7 through April 9.

TROY’s admissions staff will answer questions about the admissions process and how to become a student at Troy University, no matter the campus.

Before COVID guidelines, the open house was available to attend in person or attend online.

This spring, the event will take place strictly online.

“In order to maintain social distancing and make sure that everybody is safe, we have pivoted to a completely virtual format,” Baggett-Griggs said. “We have a few different pages that are dedicated to different types of prospective students that may be attending.”

Dedicated events and presentations include live Q and A sessions, parent information sessions, an admissions and financial aid presentation, and resources for prospective students who wish to join TROY’s campus.

There will also be readily available resources and events for adult learners, prospective online students and international students.

“We want to make sure that we provide information for people who may be attending college for the first time,” Baggett-Griggs said.

Prospective international students will be given specific information on what it’s like to live in Troy, Alabama, be an international student at TROY and information about the admissions process.

Prospective students can register for the event by going to troy.edu/openhouse.

To register, you will have to create a myTROYu profile.

The next open house will take place in the fall.
