Troy University featured on popular Chinese television program.

Troy University Chancellor Jack Hawkins and a trio of Troy University students made an appearance on the of the most popular television shows in China.

They were featured in a segment about TROY’s Terracotta warriors on the Chinese television show “Greatest National Treasure.”

According to TROY student Yihan Gao, who was also featured in the segment, the show is one of the most watched television programs in China with about 280 million people watching the show at that time the segment aired.

Gao, TrojanVision news director Brady Talbert and SGA President Nicole Jayjohn were also part of the segment.

Gao says including the American students along with herself shows the connection TROY has with China.

“This is a good connection between American culture and the Chinese culture,” says Gao. “Because we got interviews including American students, the Chinese audience will see the different experience from the American students side and to share how they think about Chinese traditional culture. I think this is just a bridge to connect between America and China.”
