University Activities Council holds Fall Formal for Troy University students

While proms are normally held in high school, Troy University students got to have some prom-themed fun at the University Activities Council‘s Fall Formal.

For some underclassmen the Fall Formal was their first chance to go to “prom” due to their actual proms being cancelled due to COVID.

The UAC gave the event a twist by having it be sneakers versus stilettos. By doing so it gave students a chance to express themselves and dress up while being comfortable.

“You have options if you want to wear sneakers or you want to wear heels you can wear either,” says UAC Member Malaysia Smith. “Especially for women our feet do hurt in heels. So you have the option of putting on your best shoes Nike, Adidas and all that and pop out.”
