TROY Soccer team holds summer youth camp

This week has been one of the hottest weeks of the year but it hasn’t stopped the Trojan Soccer team from inspiring the next generation of soccer players.

“So all week we’ve been holding a kiddie camp ages five to twelve, boys and girls,” says Assistant Coach Kayla Saager. “We do this every year every summer just to give back and you know we love to see the kids out here and try and grow soccer in Alabama.”

Camp goers were split into groups based on age and skill level and participated in various drills to improve their understanding of the fundamentals of soccer.

“So every day it’s a new team,” says Trojan Midfielder Gabrielle Chartier. “Yesterday was dribbling. Today’s shooting drill.”
