Parade wraps up Troy University Homecoming 2022

Troy University’s homecoming activities wrapped up with a popular homecoming tradition on the square in Downtown Troy.

The annual Troy University homecoming parade had 72 entries with a variety of organizations from around campus and the community participating from Greek life to bands to dance studios even a celebrity appearance from T-Roy himself.

Chancellor Jack Hawkins, Jr. says this was nothing short of a perfect community gathering to celebrate Troy.

“This community is really unique,” says Hawkins. “Because you are literally a Trojan from the day you’re born to the day you pass along into heaven and this helps bring us together. We often say ‘One TROY’ we mean that in a broader sense than just the university. ‘One TROY’ means this community, this University and for us to have an opportunity to really wave the flag, come together and celebrate each other and in the process thank each other. That’s what this represents.”
