TPR holds annual Fall Fund Drive; here’s how you can help

TROY, Ala. (TROJANVISION) — Radio students and faculty are working to raise money during this year’s Fall Fund Drive.

Every semester Troy Public Radio (TPR) asks its listeners to support the station by holding a fund drive.

“This is one of the three times during the year that we go on air and remind people that when we say Troy Public Radio, the public in ‘public radio’ are crucial and important to what we do,” explained Director of Radio Kyle Gassiott. “They are the main means of support that we get.”

TPR doesn’t have a set amount of money that it is asking for, but it does encourage listeners to give what they can they can.

“We’ve got an 800 number, which is 1-800-800-6616 and we also have a website troypublicradio.org,” Gassiott told TrojanVision. “It’s available 24 hours a day seven days a week. People can give there as well.”

Money raised during the Fall Fund Drive allows TPR to remain on the air. TPR can be heard across Alabama as well as parts of Florida and Georgia.
