Students celebrate international culture during ISCO Festival

TROY, Ala. (TROJANVISION) — TROY’s International Student Culture Organization (ISCO) ended this semester with its annual ISCO Festival.

During the event students held performances, enjoyed international cuisine, and shared cultural items. The festival allowed international students to share their culture and gave domestic students an opportunity to learn about places outside the U.S.

“We really appreciate them and that we just love learning their culture and where they come,” said ISCO participant Sara Quiceno.

The annual celebration of music, art, and culture brought together different genres of artists and audience from around the world. From stunning live performances to interactive installations, ISCO members said the festival offered something for everyone.

“I loved showing everybody a little bit about something that’s so important in my culture, which is Sala,” Quiceno explained. “I just loved that everybody had fun with it.”

The ISCO Festival is held once a year and marks the end of another semester of activity. ISCO events will begin in Spring 2024.
