TROY, Ala. (TROJANVISION) — With the beginning of the new year, TROY’s Psychology Club wanted to help students visualize their goals for 2024.
Students created their vision boards by picking out the elements that stood out to them and represented what they want out of the new year.
“You get pictures from old magazines, newspapers, scraps of paper, and you put them all together to create a visual representation of your goals,” said Psychology Club President Meagan Chaudron.
“I just picked the things that really spoke to me and the kind of vibe I wanted,” said Amani Hicks, a student who attended the event.
Vision boards help students plan out their goals in a visual way and give them something to strive for.
“You kind of plan out your life based on your goals, so I think they’re super important to have,” said Chaudron. “I always try to have some goals and really set what I want to accomplish each year.”
This event also showed students that planning your goals can be fun.
Hicks said that “creating a vision board is very stress-relieving and makes your day go by.”
The Psychology Club usually has events on Wednesdays at 6 p.m. in Hawkins Hall 107.
