TROY, Ala. (TROJANVISION) — Extreme heat around the state of Alabama has affected many college students walking around campus.

As temperatures go up students are finding themselves arriving to class sweaty, and ready to step into the cool sensation of air conditioning.

Although those who grew up in Alabama may be used to the oppressive heat, others not so much.

“This is not normal,” said international student Jalun Donaldson. “You have to wear light clothing, and drink lots of water.”

One student told TrojanVision the heat has made it hard to find motivation to get to class.

“I like going to class but it is just so hot outside,” said student Savana Etris.

The heat even has some students rethinking their fashion choices.

“I can’t even wear fits, I can’t even wear jorts,” said student Nanni Canale.

Despite being in the fall semester, students will likely have a while to go before temperatures start to come down. According to The Old Farmer’s Almanac, students shouldn’t expect to see temperatures dip under 80 degrees until mid to late September.
