TROY, Ala. (TROJANVISION) — Weeks after he left Troy’s game against Louisiana-Monroe with an injury, Trojan Athletics announced quarterback Goose Crowder will miss the remainder of the 2024 season.
In a post on Troy Trojans Football’s Facebook page, the program announced Crowder had taken the advice of Troy’s medical team and would not return for the rest of the season.
“Goose is one of the toughest football players that I’ve had the privilege of coaching,” head coach Gerad Parker said. “This is never the outcome that you want, but at the end of the day, what is best for the long-term health of our student-athletes will always outweigh any other alternative. Goose has handled this with the class and maturity that you would expect from a man of his character.”

Crowder was last seen leaving Troy’s Sun Belt opener to ULM on September 28. He completed one pass for 14 yards before leaving the field. He was previously injured during Troy’s match against Memphis on Sept. 7.
