Troy Resilience Project finds a new home

TROY, Ala. (TROJANVISION) — The Troy community now has easier access to family safety and development resources after the Troy Resilience Project moved to a location on the square earlier this year.

Troy Resilience Project is a 501(c)3 non-profit dedicated to supplying families with the resources they need to maintain healthy lives and family dynamics. Previously located in a house on South Brundidge Street, the organization has relocated to a storefront on Market Street in Downtown Troy. TRP Executive Director Maggie Doss said the move has been a long time coming.

“At our previous location we were running out of space,” Doss said. “We had our clothing closet on the porch every day, rain or shine.

“This kind of just allowed us to have a whole side of our building focused on the community. It also gives us the other side for our more clinical services: our therapy and things like that.”

The move benefits more than just the organization itself. The closer proximity to downtown Troy makes services and resources more easy for families to access when they’re in need.

“It also has made us a little but more accessible to people in walking distance,” Doss said. “It’s not that much further, but there are already people in this area who are walking on foot but now we’re just a little bit closer.”

The address of the new location is 100 South Market Street
