With many current and prospective Troy University students living in areas affected by Hurricane Michael, University officials have announced an extension of the institution’s deadline for scholarships, to ensure all interested applicants have a chance to apply.
The deadline to apply for all TROY scholarships is now Jan. 15. For more information on scholarships, visit https://troy.edu/scholarships.
“This move gives more time to anyone interested in applying for a scholarship, but we were thinking in particular of our many students and prospective students living in the panhandle who were impacted by Hurricane Michael,” said Buddy Starling, Associate Vice Chancellor for Enrollment Management. “Many people in those areas are still working to recover, and many are still without power. We want to be sure all qualified applicants have a fair chance to apply.”
In addition to the scholarship deadline extension, TROY will waive application fees from now until Jan. 15 for anyone living in hurricane-impacted counties of the Florida panhandle. The waiver applies to residents of Bay, Calhoun, Franklin, Gadsden, Gulf, Jackson, Liberty and Washington counties. To receive the waiver, use promo code TROYCARES when applying.
