TROY, Ala. (TROJANVISION) — A new club is rolling back onto campus, literally.

After taking a hiatus, Trou University’s Board Game Alliance is officially back.

“New members, new beginnings,” said Aiden Barnhardt, Public Affairs Officer. “I feel like it’s going to have a great start, and I can’t wait to get it rolling again.”

After years of inactivity, the Board Game Alliance returned in the spring semester. Since this is the group’s first full year of activity, most of the board games are owned by the members themselves.

“Part of it is what games we have available to us,” said Jim Meadows, Faculty Advisor. “Most all of the games are owned by different members of the of the club.

“We try to do a poll of members the the day a couple days prior, so we know what games people are interested in playing that week. We try and we bring try to make sure to bring those out. come together every week for high-stakes strategy, friendly competition, and plenty of laughs.”

According to Barnhardt, the Board Game Alliance is not just for leisure, but also for skills in everyday life.

“It lets me I would say communicate better as a group. I’m able to assist my teammates with the game and it we just come up to together and just create whatever plan we need.”

Whether you are a hardcore strategist or just love a casual game of Uno, everyone has a seat at the table. If you are interested in joining the Board Game Alliance, the group meets on Wednesdays at 5 p.m. in Patterson 302.
