Troy University will be kicking off Homecoming 2016 with a picnic and a torch run at the Dothan Campus on Wednesday, Oct. 5.

The picnic event starts at 11 a.m. and lasts through 1:30 p.m., featuring a voter registration drive as well as discounted tickets to TROY’s Homecoming game on Oct. 15 against Georgia State.

TROY’s 2016 Homecoming theme is “The Trojan Games: A Beacon to the World,” reflecting both the international spirit demonstrated by the Summer Olympics and the 50th anniversary of Greek life at the University.

The TROY Homecoming torch will be lit during the Dothan Campus event, and similar torch lighting ceremonies are being held on TROY’s Phenix City and Montgomery campuses in advance of Homecoming.

Homecoming Week officially starts at the Troy Campus on Oct. 10.

The public is invited to attend the Dothan Campus celebration. For more information contact Sandy Henry, Associate Dean of Students, at 334-983-6556 ext. 206.
